TARLAC CITY– This year, the 18th Bright Leaf Agriculture Journalism Awards caravan kicked off on March 17, 2025 in Baguio City and continues on to Tarlac at the Qi Hotpot Restaurant, 3M Square, McArthur Highway, on May 20 from 10:30AM to 2 PM.
Nestled in the heart of Central Luzon, Tarlac is celebrated for its rice fields, innovative farming practices, and captivating landscapes.
This year’s theme, “Inspiring Growth,” celebrates and uplifts the blossoming of talent in agricultural journalism through the years. Initiated by PMFTC Inc, the annual The Bright Leaf Awards showcases the bountiful work from agricultural journalists by shining a spotlight on the best agricultural stories nationwide.
The Bright Leaf Awards caravan last visited Tarlac in 2017, making this return an opportunity to reconnect with the local journalism community and spotlight the compelling agricultural stories emerging from the region.
This year, Bright Leaf caravans will also be held in specific locations in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao to inspire emerging and returning agricultural journalists, community members, and stakeholders to participate in the competition.
